(12/23/12) - A local veterans group is helping feed families this holiday weekend.
All of the boxes are going to families in need, thanks to The Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 1-75 in Mid-Michigan.
They have been putting together holiday food baskets for the last 25 years.
Some of the baskets are delivered - others picked up.
Joe Mishler from Chapter 1-75 thinks it's cool to see the faces of those being helped.
"We get to help families who need to be helped, what I have noticed this morning is that usually when we get to deliver, we do not see everybody, but this morning we have seen 10 or 12 families so far and most of them are veterans and that is kinda cool," Mishler said.
