(12/27/12) - The Flint area has lost a coaching legend.
Dar Christiansen died in his Florida home Wednesday, at the age of 71, after a long battle with congestive heart failure.
Dar was a quarterback at Flushing in the 50s and came back as a head coach.
He also became the winningest coach in Flint history with a 56-8 record at Flint Southwestern.
Numerous players coached by Christiansen went on to the NFL, including Booker Moore and Reggie Williams, and of course the All American at Michigan, Rich Leach.
