Central Michigan University is reassuring the students that they are doing everything they can to keep them safe, following the abduction of a student.

(01/17/13) - Eric Ramsey, the man suspected in the abduction of a CMU student, had an extensive criminal history. He even spent years in prison.
The following information comes from the Michigan Department of Corrections website, including a picture taken while in prison.
Ramsey had convictions in both Gratiot and Isabella Counties.
Published reports indicate at least one of them may be involving a woman, and him threatening to drown her.
The crimes date back to January of 2005. He was paroled from prison in July 2012.
The crimes he was convicted of include assault with a dangerous weapon, assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder, assaulting or resisting and obstructing police, and then malicious destruction of fire or police property.
Thursday morning, police allege he was destructive with them once again, ramming several police cruisers and then even taking to Facebook to post an eerie status update sometime between 3 and 4 a.m.
That status update said, "Well folkes im about to get shot. Peace"
