
(01/24/13) - Overnight snow made Mid-Michigan roads dangerous Thursday morning.
Police say I-69 in eastern Genesee County was very slippery. Davison Township
Police say there were between 15 and 20 crashes on a stretch of the expressway.
At about 9:30 Thursday morning, two people got out of their car on the shoulder
of eastbound I-69 and were struck by an out-of-control car.
A short distance away, there were more injuries when an SUV collided with a
semi.
All injuries are believed to be non-life threatening.
The expressway was closed in both directions between State Road and Irish Road
for two hours.
Officers say many people were driving too fast for the conditions.
