(01/23/13) - Multiple fire crews were on the scene of a house fire on Saturday where smoke could be seen for miles.
Firefighters were called to the house in the 6400 block of Frances Road in Thetford Township.
The fire started in the garage and quickly spread.
The home was severely damaged. Luckily no one was inside.
Firefighters not only had to deal with the fire, but the weather as well.
"You got the ice, you got the slippery conditions, you got the cold rotating your crews, getting enough man power to assist your crews as you're working and keeping your pumps and hoses thawed to keep that water circulating," said Captain Robert Mansfield with the Clio Area Fire Department.
