SHIAWASSEE COUNTY (WJRT) -
(01/28/13) - The Shiawassee County sheriff says a farmer died after getting trapped under a pile of soybeans in a silo.
Roy Potter was trying to fix a mechanical problem at his farm in Hazelton Township, Saturday, when the accident happened.
The sheriff says the soybeans were hung up by the mechanical glitch, then suddenly broke loose, burying 65-year-old Potter alive.
