(02/02/13) - 'Shrek the Musical' was performed at the Whiting. ABC12 got an exclusive back stage look on Saturday.
We tagged along with the winner of the ABC12's "Witness the SHREKKING Competition."
Brody Luck and his father Wayne watched the makeup artists transform a real-life actor into the character Shrek.
"Getting to see the backstage stuff and how they put on the effects and what not is really, really cool. Like, we've been here 45 minutes, but I've been enthralled the entire time," said Wayne Luck.
"Days like today are some of my favorite days because I know for me personally as a kid growing up, getting opportunities like this, to make connections with people in the industry, and people working in the business were really great and really pivotal to me," said Jeffrey Zicker, who plays Shrek on stage.
'Shrek the Musical' was performed three times at the Whiting this weekend.
