(02/03/13) - Two Mid-Michigan soldiers have returned home after protecting our country overseas.
Tim Larrison and his 20-year-old daughter, Katelyn, served a year-long deployment in Afghanistan.
Tim is a Master Sergeant in the same unit with his daughter. He was eligible for retirement from the Army Reserves, but wanted to return overseas to be with his daughter on her first deployment.
Katelyn is a communication specialist.
Both say the experience helped strengthen their already strong relationship.
The Larrison's have been home for about a week.
Tim says he is looking forward to going back to work as a Michigan State Police trooper, and helping his wife around the house.
Katelyn says she is ready to enjoy the new house she just purchased.
