(02/09/13) - People lined up to take a plunge into lake Fenton Saturday afternoon.
They weren't wearing heavy clothes either, but costumes, like Spiderman.
But is was all for a good cause at the Fenton Moose Lodge. They raised money to support Michigan's Special Olympics.
One of the plungers, Kris Kilpatrick, from Fenton, says he jumped because it was for a good cause.
"I do it because it's for a great cause - The Special Olympics of Eastern Michigan. You can not get any better than that. It just helps out so many kids," Kilpatrick said.
Saturday's event was just one of 27 polar plunges taking place in Michigan this year.
Money raised from Saturday's event will help more than19,000 athletes who participate in Special Olympics in Michigan.
