Mid-Michigan Meijer evacuated due to smoke

SAGINAW COUNTY (WJRT) -

(02/10/13) - A Meijer was evacuated after smoke was spotted inside the store in Saginaw County on Sunday.

Fire crews were called to the Meijer in the 3300 block of Tittabawassee in Kochville Township.

Shoppers and workers were forced to exit the building around 2 p.m.

Fire crews say a power surge caused a heating and cooling unit on the roof to overheat, but there was no actual fire.
