(03/05/13) - Thousands of the Saginaw Spirit's youngest fans took a break from the classroom to cheer on their favorite team. Tuesday, they all attended a special game as part of the Spirit's annual education day for school districts across Mid-Michigan. The puck dropped at 10:45 and a crowd of screaming students eagerly watched their team fight for the win against the Plymouth Whalers.
The event also featured informational science based presentation booths setup for students to check out before and after the game.
The Saginaw Spirit was not able to pull off the win. Plymouth beat the team 4-1.
