Piece of wind turbine breaks off at DTE Energy wind park - ABC 12 – WJRT – Flint, MI

(03/12/13) - DTE Energy is investigating why a piece of a wind turbine blade broke off at one of its wind parks.

It happened Monday at the Thumb Wind Park in Huron County's Sigel Township during normal wind conditions.

Part of a blade fell to the ground.

No one was hurt.

DTE says it's the first such broken blade at one of its wind projects.
