(03/15/13) - It will be a working weekend for a number of students in Mid-Michigan.
Kids from grades 4-12 are setting up for the Flint Regional Science Fair at Kettering University.
They'll display experimental research projects from now through Monday in the Campus Center building.
They'll also compete for scholarships and other awards.
"We encourage them to do an experiment, to generate their own data, and not look it up on the Internet. In today's world, experimental science is definitely a missing link in the education system," said John Wambaugh, organizer.
Judging takes place Saturday morning. The exhibits are open to the public Saturday and Sunday afternoon.
