(03/18/13) - The UM-Flint hockey club lost their chance to win the national
championship to Adrian College.
Although they fell a little short, a celebration was held Monday afternoon on
the UM-Flint campus.
The guys were defeated 4 to 1 by Adrian in the finals on Saturday.
The team says great fans made for a great season.
"We never saw going as far as we did being possible," said team president Kirk
Allen. "I think through the community support, the campus, family and friends,
it gave us the motivation and the encouragement to make it past some of the
tougher teams in the tournament."
