Tittabawassee River expected to crest Friday

MIDLAND (WJRT) -

(05/24/13) - Just weeks after major flooding across Mid-Michigan, people who live in Midland are once again on alert.

The National Weather Service is predicting the Tittabawassee River will crest at nearly flood stage.

Friday morning, the river measured at 22.9 feet and rising.

A number of roads are closed due to flooding in low lying areas. Dublin, Golfside, Emerson Park, Tittabawassee River Road, St. Andrews and Currie are all closed.

Officials ask that you not drive around the barricades - and not take any chances.
