Flint homeowner documents metal theft damage on YouTube

Posted: Updated:
FLINT (WJRT) -

(06/12/13) - Aaron Dionne posts on YouTube under the name "TurnFlintAround". He has two dozen videos, mostly of damage done by vandals to his houses.

He's not sure if a new legislation can help or not.

"It's almost a full time job, taking care of the scrap metal thieves," Dionne says. "Sometimes you feel safe for a while, and let your guard down. And then it happens to one house, and then another, and then another."

He says one of his homes was broken into three times in just 10 days.

"It gets worse by the week, it seems. Every time you come to the house you wonder, did somebody break in the back window? Did they kick the door in?"

Dionne doesn't plan to give up.

"I keep hoping for better times," Dionne says. "I keep hoping that the people will get in trouble and things will turn around."

You can watch Dionne's video here.
