Corvette owners celebrate 60 years in Flint

FLINT (WJRT) -

(06/30/13) - A group of General Motors masterpieces were cruising through Michigan on Saturday.

It was all for the Corvette's 60th birthday.

Over 40 Corvette owners gathered at the Chevy Manufacturing on Van Slyke in Flint to celebrate.

Many Car lovers consider the corvette an  "American Icon".

It was manufactured about 40 yards away from where they gathered.   

After drivers left the Flint celebration, the group cruised to Detroit where corvette owners from across the country met to celebrate 60 years of the Corvette.

    (07/23/2014) - A Mid Michigan company is being rewarded for bringing new jobs to the area.Walbro Engine Management was established in 1950 in Fenton and since then has moved to Cass City. The company is investing over $4,000,000 to expand that facility. The expansion plans to bring 28 new jobs to the area. As a result, Walbro will receive a $165,000 grant from the Michigan Business Development Program. If you're interesting in applying for one of these new jobs click here.
