(08/16/13) - For the seventh year, Duke's Car Stereo in Flint has provided a
free lunch for cruisers and their friends.
About 1,000 hot dogs were served over a four hour period to anyone who stopped by the Dort Highway location.
Duke's also provided chips and cold water.
The annual event attracts the drivers of muscle cars, roadsters and classics.
The owner of Duke's, Mark Cormier, says he hosts the luncheon because he likes what Back to the Bricks means for the Flint area.
"Number one, it's fun, and two, I'm also on the Back to the Bricks committee. I do it because I believe in this function. It's good for the community and local businesses," Cormier said.
Lunch ended at 3 p.m., and a few minutes later, the parking lot was clear as cruisers headed out to prepare for Friday night's fun.
