(08/20/13) - About 60 kids in Saginaw County got a lesson in flying kites.
It is all part of the Ezekiel Project summer program.
The kids, with the help of some Saginaw Valley State University football players, put kites together and flew them at the football stadium.
"A few years ago, the City of Saginaw got rid of recreation, and we started seeing a lot of problems, so we're trying to create an opportunity for kids to have fun in a safe place, do educational things, teach them to come against angering and bullying and all those things, but have great fun and safe fun in the process and that's what you see here today," said organizer Joyce Seals.
The students also had a chance to watch the football players practice.
The Ezekiel Project is a faith-based organization in the Great Lakes Bay Region.
