(08/22/13) - With the start of school just two weeks away, some students in the Bay City area will be heading back to school well-prepared for classes.
It's all thanks to the local AT&T Pioneers.
The AT&T Pioneers raised enough money to stuff 350 backpacks with essential school supplies like paper, pencils and folders.
They collected even more backpacks across the state, making a grand total of 1,200.
It's a part of the annual AT&T Tools for Learning Campaign.
The AT&T Pioneers is made up of retirees and active employee volunteers who use their personal time to benefit their communities.
