(09/10/13) - Flint Police say the death of a man found shot inside a home in the 3800 block of Keller Tuesday morning, on the city's north side, is a homicide.
Police have identified the victim as 41-year-old Andre Jackson.
An SUV was stolen from the home. Investigators believe the suspect or suspects took it. They quickly put out the plate number and vehicle description.
It was recovered by mid-afternoon. Only ABC12 was there as it was hauled away. Police asked that we not say where it was found, we're still checking on how, but we can tell you it was dumped in Flint.
"I thought nothing of it because it's normal," said neighbor Coby Wilhelm. Normal to see a vehicle park down a not so busy side street and then leave soon after, she said.
But that wasn't how it went Tuesday morning.
Colby said she first saw the red Tahoe around 8:30 or 9, when she brought her dogs outside. Five hours later, it was still there.
"That's when the police officer is at my back door asking if I knew anything about the red Tahoe and I didn't. Now I'm scared," she said. "I'm scared because that was used in a violent crime."
Investigators continue to piece together how the Tahoe got from the crime scene to where it was found, while Wilhelm tries to come to terms with what happened so close to her home.
"It's life in Flint," she said. "You get used to it, I guess."
Police believe two men, two suspects, were at that home on Kellar. There was no forced entry to the home.
Call police if you saw anything or know anything about the crime.
