(09/13/13) - Some of Mid-Michigan's major power players talked economic development in struggling cities like Flint and Saginaw.
Congressman Dan Kildee and Flint Mayor Dayne Walling talked about the problems that need to be addressed in order to keep and bring jobs into hard hit communities, during an economic summit, Friday.
Mayor Walling touted Flint's master plan to grow and attract new businesses.
"Despite the problems you know about with the blight and scraping, Flint is actually the heart of a growing, regional Mid-Michigan economy," Walling said.
Representatives from Flint's college and medical communities were also at Friday's summit.
