(09/18/13) - It was quite the sight to see on Chevrolet Avenue in Flint, Wednesday morning.
Dozens of kids decided to start their day off with a walk.
Sixth, seventh, and eighth graders from Saint John Vianney made the journey on foot to the new Powers Catholic High School.
The goal - to get a little exercise and to bring three school communities together under one roof.
"We have Powers, Kettering and St. John Vianney all within a mile or so. So we are trying to establish the idea that it can be walked and we can join forces," said John Reynolds, principal at St. John Vianney.
The students took pictures and attended morning mass together.
