(09/20/13) - The latest iPhone is finally here.
The iPhone 5C and top of the line 5S went on sale, Friday.
For some, it's like a holiday that arrived early.
Less than one year after the launch of the iPhone 4, the new generation is taking over. This time it's being marketed as cheaper and faster.
"I was excited when it came out. Each one is a little better and different," said customer Abbey Hernandez.
Early Friday morning, Hernandez was among those waiting for the doors open, anxious to get their hands on that new device.
"This is my seventh iPhone. I've had all of them," said Chad Gibson, AT&T employee.
"I wish that we could just get in and out, but obviously the line was out the door. It didn't take long, about an hour and half," said customer Ray Barber.
One of the new features on the iPhone 5S includes the finger print technology that requires a scan of your finger before gaining access to the phone.
"I think it adds a lot more security than the push in code and you also have that but the security of the finger print, no one has same finger print," Barber said.
"Nobody can get in your phone unless it's you and I think that's pretty cool," Hernandez said.
Now, the countdown begins for the next generation iPhone - and the next gathering of enthusiasts.
