SWARTZ CREEK (WJRT) -

(10/27/13) - A train was stalled on the rails for a few hours after an engine fire Sunday afternoon. It happened near Morrish Road and Hill Rd in Swartz Creek.

A second train engine from Flint had to come pull the stalled train away.

The cause of the fire is still unknown. A railroad official on the scene says the conductor looked in the side view mirrors and saw flames.

The Swartz Creek fire department responded, and no one was hurt.

The train was carrying wind turbine blades, and the official says it was heading for Port Huron.
