M-13 shut down after accident

(10/28/13) - A bizarre chain of events led to one person being taken to the hospital, a highway shutdown and police looking for at least two more people in Spaulding Township.

Police say it started around 4 p.m., when two cars were chasing and hitting each other driving through Saginaw.

Once the two vehicles drove onto M-13, they crashed each other.

One of the car's engine was laying out in the middle of the road. The other car rolled over.

"We have one injury that we know of, the other people in the other vehicle, they fled the scene. From witnesses, they are bleeding quite heavily, however, they did leave the scene," said Jay Bruns, Spaulding Township Police Chief.

M-13 was closed for about an hour while crews cleaned up the accident.
