(12/05/13) - The Yellow Jackets in Ithaca are celebrating another perfect football season.
The team has won 56 straight games and four state championships in a row.
It's the nation's longest winning streak.
Thursday, the school and the community held a pep rally to congratulate the team on the hard work and success.
The yellow jackets were lead by Michigan's player of the year, Travis Smith.
"It's really unbelievable," Smith said. "I mean, five years ago, never having a state championship to now having four right in row, it's a very special thing and you can see right in our community that everybody appreciates it and the whole football team appreciates our community right back."
Smith is the first person to win the new award. He was presented the trophy at Thursday's pep rally.
