Bay City community honors fallen officers with Project Blue Light ceremony

BAY CITY (WJRT) -

(12/11/13) - Wednesday night, the Bay City community came together to honor law enforcement officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.

The ceremony held Wednesday evening at the First Presbyterian Church is known as Project Blue Light.

This year's program was organized by seniors from local school districts.

Trooper Paul Butterfield of the Michigan State Police Hart Post was among those honored. He grew up in Bridgeport Township, where he was a standout track star.
