Posted: Updated:

(12/12/13) - The mother of the man accused of killing a state trooper, who was a Bridgeport Township native, has agreed to stand trial herself.

Tammi Spofford is charged as an accessory in the escape of Eric Knysz.

He's accused of shooting Trooper Paul Butterfield during a traffic stop in Mason County in September.

Knysz's pregnant wife, Sarah, was given 2-5 years in prison earlier this week for also being an accessory.

She will testify against her husband.
