ROCKVILLE, UT -

(12/13/13) - ABC12 has learned a woman killed in a tragic rockslide in Utah has ties to Mid-Michigan.

It happened Thursday in Rockville, just before 5 p.m., and without warning.

The two-story log home was crushed under the weight of a massive boulder that fell from the cliff-side above their property.

Friday morning, emergency crews recovered the bodies of 65-year-old Maureen Morris and her partner, 58-year-old Jeff Elsey.

Family members tell ABC12 Maureen's late husband Craig Morris, grew up in Owosso.

At least two other homes nearby have been evacuated over fears the cliff remains unstable.
