(12/18/13) - Some classrooms in Flint got a little extra cash, Wednesday.
The Flint Classroom Support Fund handed out more than $13,000 in grants to several teachers around the district.
Volunteers who helped raise the money say seeing the impact first hand that these grants can have, makes all their hard work worthwhile.
"To kind of see it come full circle. We do so much with trying to get the donors and trying to get the local businesses involved, but then the end result is really for the kids to get headphones for their computer lab or to get a greenhouse. They think that's a great thing for the kids to have access to. Just to be involved and be excited about learning," said Pamela Emmanuel, MSU Medical School.
The Flint Classroom Support Fund is celebrating it's thirtieth anniversary this year.
