MIDLAND (WJRT) -

(12/31/13) - If you haven't made your New Year's Eve plans yet, you might want to consider going to Midland. A huge party is planned there and it's the site of Michigan's largest ball drop.

"We have four and a half hours of entertainment packed into the event space that takes place between 8 and 12:30 tonight," said Chris Mundhenk, a member of the Midnight on Main committee.

Main Street is expected to be packed with party goers who will find fun wherever they turn.

"We have Mr. Belding, Dennis Haskins, who was on the show "Saved by the Bell." He'll be doing karaoke throughout the event," Mundhenk said.

"You're going to have fireworks. You're going to have 5,000 or more. It's wonderful. I'm really looking forward to this," Haskins said.

"We have three bands, one coming all the way from Chicago," Mundhenk said.

The event that will be best remembered happens at midnight.

"We have Michigan's largest ball drop right here in Midland, Michigan. It is ginormous, officially. It is ginormous. There are several thousand LED lights that literally emit several million patterns of lights. We have lots in store for everyone 21 and over attending the event tonight," Mundhenk said.

Tickets are $15 each. For information on how you can buy yours, click here.
