(01/15/14) - Seven students from Northwood University in Midland will remember the 2014 North American International Auto Show in Detroit for a long time.
They've been interning at the show, helping out the staff in the media office and working with car companies at their booths.
The students say they didn't realize how much goes on behind the scenes and are learning a lot while away from the classroom.
"We get to see all the ins and outs of the show, how it's run and all the small events that take place outside of just the cars being on display. So it's really amazing how we've gotten to see how this all comes together," said Kristin Hammond, Northwood University junior.
Some of the students say the experience in Detroit will help them as they organize the annual Northwood University car show in October.
