(01/20/14) - A Mid-Michigan law firm says it's challenging a ban on cell phones and other electronics at the Saginaw County Courthouse.
The new rules went into effect last month. Visitors must get a permit to bring their phones, tablets and other electronics into the building.
County officials say it's an effort to increase security, but a Saginaw-based law firm, Outside Legal Counsel, filed a federal lawsuit, saying the ban is unconstitutional and wants a judge to issue a temporary injunction to stop it.
