SVSU students weigh in on canceled classes

KOCHVILLE TOWNSHIP (WJRT) -

(01/27/14) - Dozens of districts, academies, programs and even universities are telling students to stay home and stay warm on Tuesday.

Just one of the universities canceling Tuesday classes is Saginaw Valley State University.

"No bed time tonight, I can say that," said Dajuan Granberry, a sophomore at SVSU.

Some students are pumped for another free day.

"I'm supposed to have an 8:30 class tomorrow morning so I'm looking forward to sleeping in," said freshman Megan Kachelski.

But there have been several snow days already this semester and some students don't like missing so much class.

"A lot my classes are a lot more difficult, so we're postponing a lot of things that we're supposed to get done," Granberrys aid.

"At first I was happy, like, you know, we get another day to rest, but then after thinking about it, it's a lot of work you have to make up," said Junior Jeremy Wilkes.
