    We have new information about the arrest of Amier Hill, who police described as a "dangerous" parole absconder tied to several crimes in Flint.
FLINT (WJRT) -

(01/27/14) - Police in Flint and the Michigan Department of Corrections are searching for 22-year-old Amier Hill, a parole absconder believed to be connected to several, recent, violent crimes in the city including a Sunday assault which left a man in critical condition.

Michigan State Police Trooper Investigator Jeffery Rodgers said Hill absconded Jan. 13, after cutting off his tether, while on parole for carrying a concealed weapon.  

Rodgers said Hill is wanted for attempted murder, armed robbery and weapons charges in connection with a Jan. 23 shooting and armed robbery which occurred on Raskob St. The victim is in good condition.

Hill is also wanted for questioning in a critical beating on Avon St. on Sunday afternoon. A man remains in critical condition. Police said, earlier Monday, a woman jumped out of a second story window to escape the attack. She is expected to be OK. Police previously listed two, unidentified men as suspects, but said the man and woman knew them.

Authorities said Hill should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone coming into contact with him should call 911 immediately. Anonymous tips can be provided to the Michigan Department of Corrections at 810-766-8066 and/or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP.

A joint investigation is currently being conducted by Michigan State Police, Flint Police Department, and the Michigan Department of Corrections.

    (08/30/14) - A home was destroyed and one person was killed in a fire in Shiawasee County Saturday afternoon.The fire was in the 11000 block of Prior Road in Vernon Township. The fire chief is not releasing whether the person who died is a man or woman, however we do know that they lived in the home. Several departments were called in to help put out the fire. ABC12 will continue to post updates to this story as they become available.
