(01/29/14) - Michigan counties are nervously watching their road budgets.
Winter 2014 will be remembered as an expensive one for road plowing. The County Road Association of Michigan says local agencies are rapidly spending their road maintenance budgets to keep the roads clear during this nastier than usual winter.
That could mean less money for much-needed repairs in the summer.
Governor Snyder did have a plan to raise the gasoline tax, to boost transportation funding, but that plan stalled.
