Shooting in East Lansing kills MSU student

(02/01/14) -  East Lansing Police are on the look out for a man they say shot two Michigan State University students Friday evening.

The shooting happened in the 200 block of Cedar Street in an apartment at 8:48 p.m. Police say two students were shot inside the apartment and taken to Sparrow Hospital. Dominique James Nolff, 20, from Middleville, died after being in critical condition overnight. The other student, 20, from Grand Haven, was treated for a single gun shot wound and released.

Police described the shooter as a black male between the ages of 20 and 25. He was wearing tan pants and black shoes at the time of the shooting.

East Lansing Police do not believe this was a random shooting, but it is still under investigation.
