FLINT (WJRT) -

(02/12/14) - A Hurley Medical Center spokeswoman says the 11-year-old boy who was hurt in Sunday night's crash on US-23 in Mundy Township has been upgraded to serious, but stable condition.

The boy was in the car with his mother, Mariah Bailey-Collins, and her husband Bryan Collins, when they were hit by a wrong way driver.

Mariah died. Bryan was also hurt.

Police say a Swartz Creek teenager was behind the wheel of the car going south on North 23.

They say he had likely been drinking.
