Is it the end of a rivalry?

Posted: Updated:

(02/14/14) - It's been a long-standing cross town rivalry in Saginaw, and Friday, the stands were packed for the Saginaw High versus Arthur Hill Game.

Friday night may be their last regular season game ever, making it an example of when a basketball game is more than just a sporting event. It's also part of a school community's identity.

Saginaw High parents, students and players walked into Arthur Hill not knowing if they will still be Trojans next year.

The most important stats won't come from the court - they'll be on a spread sheet.

The Saginaw school district faces a $6.1 million deficit. Saginaw High School could be closed down to close that gap.

Saginaw High students could end up going to Arthur Hill, making old rivals into teammates and classmates.

No final decision has been made on Saginaw High.
