(02/20/14) - Many side roads around Mid-Michigan are in poor shape. They're
covered in ice and are dangerous to travel on.
Imlay City and Lapeer schools canceled classes partly because side roads, especially gravel ones, are slick and filled with potholes.
A Lapeer County sheriff's deputy says the eastern side of the county is in worse shape.
The rain and freezing rain that have fallen Thursday tended to glaze over the snow already packed down on the road.
Nonetheless, people have to drive on these roads and they say it's not fun.
