Potholes frustrate Mid-Michigan drivers

Posted: Updated:

(02/22/14) - The snow and ice is clearing away and revealing potholes. One particular pothole caused three cars to blow out their tires in just a matter of minutes.

When ABC12 news crews arrived on scene, frustrated drivers lined the side of the road waiting for tow trucks. Their wheels were so damaged they could not drive any further.

"I know I've fixed several flat tires from potholes," said James Blylan, a tow truck driver.

Will, a fellow tow truck driver, said the weather is to blame for the number of potholes seen around Mid-Michigan.

"It's because it's been so cold this year, and the dwindling budgets from all the snow, so they haven't had a lot of money to fix them. But you can see they are fixing some of them," Will said.
