Water advisory for Tendercare Health Rehabilitation Center

Posted: Updated:
CLARE COUNTY (WJRT) -

(02/23/14) - Residents at the Tendercare Health Rehabilitation Center in Clare County are asked not to drink the tap water for the next 24 hours. They are also living without heat.

This is all because of a water main break and gas leak that happened around 8:15 a.m. Sunday morning.

No one was evacuated from the center, but  police did block off Business 10 until about 5:30 p.m.

Only Tendercare residents are advised not to drink the tap water. Other city residents can drink their water. However, the DPW is asking all city residents to leave their water running - just a stream about the size of a little finger.
