(02/24/14) - State Representative Stacey Erwin-Oakes is making a bid to represent Michigan in the U.S. Senate.
Erwin-Oakes announced Monday that she is not seeking re-election for the 95th district state House seat, which she has held for three years.
She'll be running for Senator Roger Khan's 32nd district seat, which is comprised of all of Saginaw County and western Genesee County.
Senator Khan cannot run for re-election because of term limits.
Erwin-Oakes faces two opponents. They are Tittabawassee Township business owner Garnet Lewis, a Democrat, and former Frankenmuth State Representative Kenneth Horn, a Republican.
