BAY CITY (WJRT) -

(02/28/14) - Road crews in Bay City are working to clear to the scene of a train derailment.

As of noon Friday, drivers are being asked to avoid the area of Marquette Avenue just north of State Street.

A rail car from the Huron-Eastern Railroad Company jumped the tracks around 10 p.m. Thursday.

Bay City police say it's full of sugar, which is being off loaded so the car can be put back on the tracks.
