SAGINAW (WJRT) -

(03/03/14) - A second man has now been sentenced to prison for his role in the beating death of a Saginaw man.

Demarkus Bowes will spend at least 17 years in prison after he plead guilty to second degree murder in the death of 52-year-old Gregory Gross.

It was back in February of 2013 when Gross was walking home early one morning and was beaten by Bowes and three other men.

Court testimony indicated the four men were looking for someone to assault.

Before he was sentenced to prison, Bowes apologized to Gross' family.

Daquavis Martin has already been sentenced to life in prison after being convicted of first degree murder.

William White plead no contest to second degree murder and will be sentenced next week.

Elmer Curry plead guilty to second murder and will be sentenced next month
