Foundation hopes to raise $100,000 at Hurley Ball Saturday night

FLINT (WJRT) -

(03/08/14) - Saturday night was the thirty-third annual Hurley Enchanted Ball.

This year's event benefits Camp Copeneconic's Health and Wellness center. It is designed to make sure children with medical concerns can go to summer camp. Camp Copeneconic plays host to 16 camps for children with medical issues.

"It's very important to the community. It's important to Hurley. Insurances don't pay for this, for these services. So through fundraisers like this, it gives us the ability to hire staff, provide the supplies, provide the equipment. To be able to go out and pay attention to people's health," said Mike Burnett, chair of the Hurley Foundation Ball.

This year's goal was to raise $100,000.
