(03/10/14) - Catching criminals can be difficult, but sometimes, suspects seem to just sort of appear.
Police in Flint tell ABC12, State Police arrested 34-year-old Byron Powell, last Wednesday morning, while broken down on the side of the road in Flint.
Powell, who may not have known he was wanted, was - on a 13 count warrant tied to an August 2012 armed robbery in Flint.
Police say Powell and Drevon Cathron were shot by one of the men they tried to rob outside of a home in the 3300 block of Clairmont.
Cathron was in critical condition and arrested right away, but police say Powell went to a Saginaw hospital for treatment after the shooting.
Online court records show a warrant was issued for him in January.
Police say an anonymous tip alerted them about the Saginaw connection and a DNA match also points to Powell.
Cathron, now 19, has already pleaded and is in prison.
