Flushing announces plan to make up snow days

Posted: Updated:

(03/14/14) - Due to severe weather and excessive snow days, the Flushing School District is announcing students will have to attend class a bit longer this year.

The state allowed for six snow days to still meet guidelines. As of this week, the harsh winter has forced the district to cancel 10 school days.

As a result, Flushing is officially adding four days in June.

Instead of June 11 for elementary students,  they'll end the school year on June 17.

Instead of June 12 for middle and high school grades,  they'll end on June 18.
