THOMAS TOWNSHIP (WJRT) -

(03/27/14) - A road closed earlier due to a natural gas service line that was damaged, in Thomas Township, is back open.

It happened at Frost and Wurtzel in Saginaw County.

Crews were able to make repairs.

Consumers Energy says a service line was damaged and that may be to blame for the road closure.

A spokesperson with Consumer Energy says initially, crews thought it was a gas main break.
